LOS BACHILLERATOS DE LA UNIVERSIDAD

Esta mañana leí en nota difundida por Twitter que cinco bachilleratos de la Universidad de Colima ingresaron al Sistema Nacional de Bachillerato. La noticia me produjo alegría genuina. De los 16 años que pasé en tareas de gestión académica institucional, la mitad los dediqué a la educación media superior y conservo recuerdos extraordinarios.

Los dos periodos del doctor Carlos Salazar Silva como rector fueron un lapso adecuado para emprender el proceso de transformación académica que llamamos “reforma académica del bachillerato”, en ámbitos tan disímbolos como el programa de Escuela de Padres, la modalidad semiescolarizada o la creación del Consejo Académico del Bachillerato, órgano de consulta conformado por todos los directores de los planteles, que sustentaba la toma de decisiones más participativas y discutía los temas y problemas acuciantes.

Fueron años desafiantes, por la escasez de recursos a nivel federal, que solamente la voluntad firme y la defensa a ultranza del rector nos permitió superar con imaginación y perseverancia. Las bibliotecas para bachilleratos, el mantenimiento de edificios, la labor de los maestros a través de academias y los programas de formación docente son ejemplos.

De aquellos años adquirí muchos de los aprendizajes que conservo y me parecen vigentes, sobre todo, lo que me dieron como motivación desde las comunidades académicas. Escuchar a los directores, visitar las escuelas, atender oportunamente los problemas o conocer a cada uno de los maestros y las materias que imparten reditúa siempre en la gestión.

Entonces, como ahora, sostuve que los profesores de los bachilleratos enfrentan carencias formativas inocultables, pues no hay preparación suficientemente adecuada (y hoy el programa del gobierno federal tiene serias falencias), ni los recursos para hacerlo en la medida, sin embargo, en ellos encontré (en una gran mayoría) vocación y cariño por el trabajo cotidiano, que se demostraba con hechos y no solo con palabras o saludos efusivos.

Por esas y muchas otras razones, ligadas a afectos y convicciones, celebro la incorporación de los planteles al Sistema Nacional de Bachillerato, aunque después de los festejos el logro más significativo, como ninguno, está dado por el reconocimiento de la sociedad, de los estudiantes, de sus egresados, de los profesores de las facultades, de las familias.

Es verdad y no podemos ocultarlo: los procesos de evaluación de la educación superior en México, para su acreditación por organismos reconocidos, ha sido ferozmente criticado incluso por la propia ANUIES, pues con frecuencia se prestó a la simulación y transformaciones cosméticas. El peligro no se exorcizó todavía.

Y no podemos dejar de mirar tampoco que dos de las empresas “de clase mundial”, como Telmex y CFE, certificadas con normas internacionales y todos esos membretes, enfrentan miles de quejas por prácticas y vicios. Así que la celebración debe estar acompañada por la serena reflexión de lo que estamos haciendo bien y de lo que podemos hacer mejor. De lo uno y de lo otro habrá situaciones para enmendar o potenciar.

La otra gran convicción que sostuve y sigo sosteniendo, es que no hay posibilidades de transformación cualitativa en la Universidad si no arranca en el nivel medio superior. Es la media superior, sus bachilleratos, la fuente principal de la cual egresan los estudiantes que aspiran a las facultades. Lo que se haga bien o mal repercutirá en toda la Universidad. Es el bachillerato, pues, en donde la Universidad ha de forjar una buena parte de su futuro.

    Quizá habrá qué revisar cuáles son los procesos certificados en las empresas…basta que uno pase, para que ya se puedan ostentar como “certificadas” y no necesariamente se trata de sus servicios al cliente, pueden ser simples procesos administrativos internos… ridiculeces como la comunicación oficial o cosas de esas. Por otra parte, me uno a usted en la celebración serena y reflexiva, porque, lamentablemente, el gran teatro del mundo nos alcanza.

    It is a very good news that some high school of the University of Colima have entered to the national school system.
    I was in the high school number one,and it was one of the best experiece of my academic life.
    Some teachers of here are really incredible how teach some subject, they are very good.
    And I think that being a good student in the high school will be in faculty too.

    1.-I studied three years of my life in one of the high schools of the University of Colima and successfully finished my studies in this nine months ago.
    2.-Now I decided to follow at the University of Colima and enter one of his faculties few months ago and so far it has not disappointed me at all.
    3.-I hope that soon all the high schools of the University of Colima may be within like 5 high schools already entered the National High School.
