La alegría de enseñar

Cada sábado por la mañana acompaño a mi hija, Mariana Belén, a sus clases de inglés en la Facultad de Lenguas Extranjeras. Allí, junto a muchos otros niños aprende con jóvenes estudiantes de la licenciatura en enseñanza de lenguas. La experiencia como espectador es grata. A la inevitable y contagiosa alegría de los niños que caminan hacia sus aulas o ya en ellas, se suman los rostros relajados y contentos de los estudiantes universitarios. Lo veo en sus caras y movimientos, los escucho mientras trabajan con los niños o conversan  afuera de sus aulas.

Ambos hechos reconfortan: la enseñanza y el aprendizaje con emoción y alegría está casi garantizada, porque la escuela no se vive como una tortura, porque las clases no se experimentan como castigo y la diversión no riñe con las tareas.

¡Qué distintos los rostros de esos aprendices de profesores a los que solemos tener cuando ya ejercemos! Las preocupaciones con los años han crecido, alguna frustración se habrá colado y aquellas primeras experiencias inexorablemente han ido también insensibilizando, gastando la emoción de los primeros tiempos.

Me pregunto quién pierde con la fricción que consume la vitalidad. La educación y los alumnos, sin duda, pero sobre todo nosotros mismos, quienes ejercemos la docencia, porque perdemos una de las más grandes cualidades de los educadores: la alegría de vivir. Como bien dice Fernando Savater: los pesimistas pueden ser buenos domadores, pero no buenos educadores.

¿Cómo conservar la alegría de enseñar en un contexto hostil? No lo sé, en todo caso, mientras no la tengamos, la probabilidad del éxito se reduce y la escuela se convierte en canción de cuna y no en desafío para los alumnos. Difícil, pero posible y necesario.

Juan Bosco, quien le apostó siempre a los jóvenes en un momento en el que, como ahora, pocos se arrojan por ellos, y lo hizo además, con una innovadora propuesta pedagógica: la alegría de vivir, de aprender, de ser, de enseñar, en correspondencia con el gran maestro, Cristo. La alegría es para los salesianos, a quienes visitó usted en días pasados,la esencia de su trabajo catequético y educativo, también a la manera de Gandhi, quien hacia sus últimos días decía que el cristiano no puede ser una persona triste; decía que no podemos llamarnos cristianos sin estar alegres y transmitir siempre esa alegría a quienes educamos.
    Hoy no pretendo evangelizar, sólo coincido festivamente con usted en la alegría de educar.

    Doctor, Education pessimists can not educate because then the student who needs encouragement, motivated would have less opportunity due to poor astuteness of his teacher

    Considero que un educador debe de tener presente que los niños son un gran ejemplo de sinceridad para nuestros días, por lo tanto, como adultos debemos de alimentar esa parte de niños…..porque cuando eres niño, vives con alegría, sueñas, imitas, cantas, brincas, pero sobre todo amas a las personas que tienes a tu alrededor…..un ser humano debe de amar a las personas con las que convive, de esta manera convertirá el momento de educar , en un acto amoroso y grandioso…que nuestros alumnos nunca olvidarán.
    Yo aún recuerdo a mis grandes maestros, por citar algunos: Lupita García Leal, Susana Guadalupe Ortuño de Aguayo, Catalina Santana, Francisco montes De Oca, Jonás Lrios Deniz, Marcial Aviña, Juan Carlos Yañez, Salvador Moreno(qepd)…..y muchos más….
