1941551_754788421252202_8096066368903020055_oEn la víspera de la primera clase de fútbol de Juan Carlos concluí que estaba más emocionado que él. Debo confesar que no tengo pretensiones de que juegue deporte profesional o sea un destacado atleta. Mi deseo es más sencillo, más terrenal, más apegado a su edad y a la mía como padre. Quiero que disfrute cada una de sus etapas. Y ya lo hace con una naturalidad y un regocijo tranquilizador. Nada más quiero acompañarlo, sentirlo crecer y, si en algún punto es preciso, recordarle que su tarea decisiva es ser feliz.

Él, inteligente como son los niños, no espera con tanta alegría ese momento en que por vez primera se enfrente a una cancha de fútbol, unos compañeros, un entrenador o un árbitro. Probablemente porque sabe que le esperan “clases” de fútbol, es decir, obligaciones, horarios fijos, rutinas, compromisos, algún regaño.

¡Qué distintas estas infancias a las nuestras décadas atrás! Allá no existían clases de fútbol, ni deportes extraescolares. No en mi pueblo, no en ese universo infantil. Había escuela, horas para hacer la tarea en casa y el resto de la jornada era el fútbol en las calles empedradas con porterías improvisadas; incursiones a los cañaverales para comernos las cañas a mordiscos, o esperar los camiones cañeros para robarles un trozo quemado y disfrutarlo con las manos tan sucias como la cara o los dientes. O ir de pesca al arroyo de Santa Mariana y regresar con pececillos inocentes que terminaban sus días en las pilas de nuestras casas. Sí, es verdad, teníamos entrenamientos martes y jueves para los partidos del sábado. Pero todo era voluntario. No había horarios para jugar, no había calificaciones, no teníamos un maestro. Sólo el sabio tiempo infantil, para jugar, ser felices y llegar cansados, sucios, para recomenzar al siguiente y al siguiente día. Como niños, como simples niños más o menos libres, no como alumnos de tiempo completo, condenados a convertir hasta sus sagradas horas de juego en tiempo escolar.

    -Yáñez used to play soccer in streets when he was a child.
    -There was not any soccer classes or training shedules some decades ago.
    -Before now, kids had more leisure time.
    -Yáñez son is not too happy for classes soccer because of the fact that it is classes.

    • The childhood was lived in a different way, because only existed the time to be happy.

    • Unlike today the kids had more time to be free to be happy, not like today that the child has mores responsibilities and homework.

    • Yañez says the activities were voluntary, there were no schedules or qualifications the kids were free kids who lived for be happy.

    • Yañez talk about his son is not much thrilled about the soccer, because he knows that only are classes.

    2.- I agree that the childhood people had back in the day was very different from what it is today.
    3.- I think that playing football is something you desire from the very beginning and not something that someone teaches you to like.

    I think the kids are scared situations where there are many restrictions because they limit his freedom.
    Years ago the “child’s world” consisted of making really fun and creative activities.

    Mr. Yañez is a good father because he wants to see him child happy.
    I think it’s true that children must enjoy their childhood playing.
    The last times became sports in a kind of bored to me because we have to completely follow the rules.
    And I agree that the child’s playtime are sacred, by playing is learning a lot, specially at that age.
