LA FILOSOFÍA DEL PEPE MUJICA

Allan Percy MujicaLa biografía que escribió Walter Pernas sobre Pepe Mujica es mejor que la de Allan Percy. Concluí la del segundo hace unos días, y me quedé con algunos apuntes para escribirlos en una página de este diario.

Además de contar la historia en trozos del ex comandante guerrillero que alguna vez se llamó Emiliano, por nuestro Zapata, Percy compiló sesenta pensamientos o ideas que el ex presidente uruguayo fue dejando por aquí y por allá en entrevistas con distintos medios del mundo. Son invitaciones a examinar la política, los políticos, la felicidad, el mundo, los seres humanos, el tiempo.

Sobre el tiempo hay un brevísimo capítulo que me gustó e invita a la reflexión profunda:

Cuando vas a comprar algo, no estás comprando con plata. Estás comprando con el tiempo de tu vida que tuviste que poner pa’ ganar esa plata. Comprás un cacharro y lo pagás con vida. Hay que ser más avaro, hay que cuidar la vida. 

Consejos no pedidos

En el mismo capítulo Percy cuenta la historia de Denis Wright, australiano sexagenario, enfermo de cáncer cerebral, que al llegar a los 66 años, sin perspectivas de festejar el siguiente, escribió en 2013 unos consejos simples, que probablemente conocemos, pero no siempre aplicamos:

-No pierda su vida en un trabajo que odia. La vida es corta para vivirla solo por las noches y los fines de semanas.

-Si en la vida pasa algo que no podemos evitar, mejor adaptarse. Los cabezazos en la pared son inútiles.

-Si piensa que puede cambiar algo, hágalo.

-Si cree que hizo algo mal, aprenda y corrija.

-No se arrepienta del pasado. Ya no puede cambiarlo.

-Pida perdón cuando hizo daño.

-Ábrase a diferentes ideas.

-No pierda el sentido del humor.

Carpe diem. Aproveche el momento.

-No tenga miedo a morir. Si no tiene miedo a la muerte, no tendrá miedo a nada.

    1.- I agree with Mujica on those commentaries, you got to take care of your time.
    2.- I really like those Denis Wright advices.
    3.- You should be always open to different ideas and ways of thinking
    4.- I didn’t know the last advice but i really like it, “if you are not afraid to die, you shouldn’t be afraid of anything”, thats awesome

    1. It’s true that the we don’t pay for anything with “money”, but with out lifetime.
