En Georges Perec y su libro Especie de espacio avanzo lento, sin saber dónde pondré el siguiente paso. Incertidumbre placentera.
Llego al subtĂtulo “Escaleras” y leo:
No pensamos demasiado en las escaleras.
Lo más bonito de las casas antiguas eran las escaleras. Y son lo más feo, lo más frĂo, lo más hostil, lo más mezquino de los edificios de hoy en dĂa.
DeberĂamos aprender a vivir mucho más en las escaleras. Pero ÂżcĂłmo?
La página posterior me deslumbra, o enceguece. Depende la perspectiva:
Cuelgo un cuadro en la pared. Enseguida me olvido de que allĂ hay una pared. Ya no sĂ© lo que hay detrás de esa pared, ya no sĂ© que hay una pared, ya no sĂ© que esa pared es una pared, ya no sĂ© quĂ© es eso de una pared. Ya no sĂ© que en mi apartamento hay paredes y que, si no hubiera paredes, no habrĂa apartamento. La pared ya no es la que delimita y define el lugar en que vivo, lo que lo separa de los otros lugares donde viven los demás. Ya no es más que un soporte para el cuadro. Pero tambiĂ©n me olvido del cuadro, ya no lo miro, ya no sĂ© mirarlo. He colgado el cuadro en la pared para olvidar que allĂ habĂa una pared pero, al olvidar la pared, me olvido tambiĂ©n del cuadro.
AsĂ, exactamente asĂ me parece que muchas veces vamos por la vida. Olvidando lo esencial, lo valioso, lo que en el fondo da sentido a nuestra existencia. No contentamos con colgar cuadros para olvidar las paredes, las habitaciones, los habitantes, los sentimientos, la vida.
