COMIENZO CON ILUSIONES

Los comienzos de semestre escolar en la Universidad me siguen provocando ilusiones, temores y desafíos. A la manera en que tomo el inicio de un ciclo también vital, sumo un ingrediente ahora: un curso que nunca he impartido, que estamos rehaciendo colectivamente y en el que tendré dos asistentes con quienes compartiremos aprendizajes y experiencias hoy imposibles de prever.

Como siempre, ingreso al reto deseando que el curso sea provechoso, relevante para los estudiantes, y que, si no es capaz de provocar emociones positivas, por los menos no siembre dolores de cabeza los martes y viernes en que nos encontraremos.

Soy optimista, lo confieso. Y es que me parece que cuando la docencia se asume con pasión difícilmente no logra el profesor conectar con los alumnos.

Lo he dicho y escrito antes: el momento infeliz en que sufra con el inicio del semestre, o me pese prepararlo, habrá llegado la hora de emprender otras tareas.

En mi pequeña mesa de trabajo en casa he sumado un librito que leeré en la semana. Releeré, para ser preciso. Se llama Democracia y universidad, una conferencia que presentó José Saramago en octubre de 2005 en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Diez años después vale la pena revisar de nuevo las ideas y escribir con ellas una de las próximas columnas periodísticas.
